I really wanted to try Cursor for the first time, and what better project to do than the never-ending portfolio site? I was excited that I could finally get the custom interactions I wanted – hover states, "vibe" modes. I also had a "yap" mode, where if you hovered over some icons some extra commentary appeared. That lives on in the current version too, can you find it? (Hint: check out my name in the home page). But anyways, this version had sooooo many bugs.

A small refresh from 2023. To be honest, I'm not that interesting enough to have a full about page so wanted to put my bio front and center. And added a few more projects!

January 2023

The very first time I used this interaction! The interaction came to mind because I was reflecting on myself as a designer – playful, chaotic, visual-focused. Felt the interaction was able to say more about me than what I could say in words. And, it stuck! This version was hosted on Webflow, and the interaction couldn't have been possible without the help of my friend, Kiran Patel.

Summer 2021

My portfolio right after graduating! My brand was still smiley-focused, but my projects was actually more branding/packaging. I actively avoided product design while in undergrad haha... the product designers scared me... they still do...

Mid 2020?

I really put in every single Webflow interaction in here huh. This is where I learned that the design of your portfolio can interfere with the design of your projects. In this case, the visuals and interactions of my site overshadowed my work.

Pre-2017

I actually grew up really wanting to go into film, so did a lot of photography in high school. When it came to choosing undergrad programs, I chose design since I thought I'd be able to do both film/photo work and other brand stuff. I actually applied to YSDN with some of these photos, which I'm still proud of to this day.
